The e-Hoop platform uses two types of assessment in order to adapt the learning process to the abilities, needs, and preferences of the learner.

Assessment while learning is happening

The results of the previous assessments are fed into a Module called “Sequencer” to determine the educational material appearing to the learner as learning proceeds. The educational material subsequently appearing to the learner is based on:

  • The results of the diagnostic tools (MAPS, VARK, Honey/Mumford Learning Styles Questionnaire).
  • Learners’ self-reporting – administered for example, via quizzes during the flow of a course. The “jump button” available at the backend of the platform, enables educators to use it during the creation of their course so as to define the time that self-reporting will be administered, assessing hence learning while taking place.
